Visual Studio Code 1.107 brings Agent HQ, terminal suggest, org custom agents, and more
Microsoft has released Visual Studio Code version 1.107, introducing several key enhancements for developers across coding workflows. This update brings Agent HQ, which lets users combine GitHub Copilot with other coding agents to complete multiple tasks in parallel. Developers can now leverage background, cloud, or local agents based on project needs, enhancing overall productivity.
Building on these workflow upgrades, background agents now operate within their own isolated workspaces, managed directly by Visual Studio Code. For organizations, the ability to share custom agents at the team level improves collaboration and makes agent-driven automation more accessible.
Following these AI improvements, terminal suggest is now enabled for all stable users. This feature provides inline completions and contextual hints when typing shell commands. Additionally, related argument values are now grouped together, making option flags and their parameters easier to navigate during command entry.
Rounding out the release, Visual Studio Code 1.107 introduces support for the latest MCP specification, adds a cross-platform native broker for Microsoft Authentication, and updates compatibility to include the TypeScript 7.0 preview.
