ToonSquid 2.0.16 adds contextual symbol editing and improved keyframe control
ToonSquid 2.0.16 has been released, introducing several workflow improvements focused on animation efficiency rather than new drawing tools. The update adds in context symbol editing, which shows the surrounding scene while editing a symbol’s animation clip, making it easier to align motion and timing with other elements.
Keyframe splitting has been updated so that when drawings are split across multiple layers, keyframe offsets are recalculated to preserve the original timing instead of being duplicated. A new Clear option is also available in the actions menu, allowing users to remove drawing content from selected drawings or animation layers while keeping their structure and animation setup intact.
Library management has been expanded with new sorting options for Last Created and Kind, helping organize larger projects. The update also improves vector fill feedback by temporarily highlighting open stroke paths when a fill operation fails, making it easier to locate and close small gaps.
