Lawnchair 15 Beta 2 adds home screen infinite scrolling, new search provider, and more
Lawnchair 15 beta 2, the latest update to the popular open source Android launcher, has been released three months after the initial beta. This release is centered on stability, addressing many bugs from the previous beta and introducing a series of quality of life improvements.
Among the new features, users can now enjoy infinite scrolling on the home screen and can re-order apps inside app drawer folders through settings. The launcher search backend has been redesigned, featuring a cleaner user interface within settings. Additionally, the Mull search provider has been replaced with IronFox, marking a notable backend and provider change.
In terms of customization and control, Lawnchair 15 beta 2 adds an option to clear all items from the home screen directly from the settings. Users can also turn off the alpha effect behind the search bar while scrolling in the app drawer. Following these enhancements, the About screen layout has been improved and a changelog viewer for Nightly builds has been introduced.
Performance optimizations, general bug fixes, dependency updates, and refreshed translations complete the update, providing a more refined launcher experience for Android enthusiasts looking for a Nova Launcher alternative.
