Telegram adds Live Stories real time streaming, gifts auction, and repeat scheduling

Telegram latest update adds Live Stories, letting users start real time streams directly inside stories from personal accounts, groups, or boosted channels. Viewers can comment, highlight messages with Stars, and see how many Stars the host has earned. Hosts can adjust comment settings, set prices for highlighted messages, use external streaming tools through RTMP keys, and assign moderators with video chat permissions. Live Stories keep the same audience controls as regular stories, including Everyone, My Contacts, Close Friends, and Selected Users.

The update also introduces repeated scheduled messages, allowing users to set messages to send at intervals like daily or twice per month by holding the Send button and selecting Repeat. Telegram is adding a new auction system for collectible gifts, where users bid with Stars across multiple rounds. Gift numbers correspond to bid ranking, lower bids carry over automatically, and unused Stars are refunded once all gifts are distributed. These gifts can still be worn as a status, grouped into collections, moved to blockchain wallets, or traded.

Interface updates round out the release, with iOS gaining more Liquid Glass designs, refreshed profiles, an updated Settings page, and a new attachment menu. Android users receive a minimalist input field and new blur effects when scrolling.
