Screenshot app Shottr 1.9 adds S3-compatible cloud uploads & hand-drawn annotation styles
Shottr 1.9 introduces S3-compatible cloud upload, enabling users to send their screenshots to Amazon, Cloudflare, Backbaze, and similar services. This expands on Shottr Cloud and provides greater flexibility for designers and developers managing image workflows.
Alongside expanded cloud options, Shottr now offers a hand-drawn annotation style for text, arrow, oval, and rectangle objects. Users can access this feature from the properties panel and further vary the appearance by pressing Cmd+R to randomize the hand-drawn effect.
Additionally, every arrow type now supports bending into an arch, giving users new ways to highlight elements in their screenshots. Configurable object snapping and a magnifier tool have also been added, helping users achieve precise placements and improved visibility when annotating images.
For those working on larger screens, all 16 available annotation tools are now shown in the toolbar when the window size allows. Custom-styled notifications are now dismissible by dragging them out, and the menu bar icon provides a quick confirmation animation when copying, saving, or uploading screenshots.
Finally, Shottr 1.9 includes five bug fixes, supporting a smoother and more reliable user experience.
