Manus Browser Operator beta launches for local automation in Chrome and Edge
Manus has released a new beta extension called Manus Browser Operator, that brings automation into users’ local Chromium-based browsers for Pro, Plus, and Team plans. It moves tasks out of cloud sandboxes and into authenticated sessions, allowing Manus to operate directly inside premium research tools, CRM systems, and other login protected platforms such as CrunchBase, PitchBook, SimilarWeb, Semrush, ahrefs, and Financial Times.
After a one time authorization, tasks run through the “My Browser” connector and execute in a dedicated tab group where users can watch each step, take over, or stop the workflow at any moment, kinda similar to the previous ChatGPT Operator, but in a more versatile format. The extension maintains full transparency with real time visibility, detailed action logs, and complete auditability.
The beta supports complex multi step workflows like data extraction, analysis, and report generation, though some interactions such as drag and drop or multi field forms may still be inconsistent. Users are advised to review sensitive information before authorizing access.
