KeePass 2.60 released with various user interface, integration enhancements, and bug fixes
KeePass 2.60 debuts key enhancements to its search and data display features. Users can now enable “Search for group paths in quick searches” and add “Group Path” and “Group Name” as optional columns in the main entry list. Several updates improve list management: in list views, it is now possible to select all items using Ctrl+A, delete multiple items with the delete key, and view empty state messages when no entries are present.
Following these usability improvements, the placeholder confirmation dialog now includes quick-access links to help pages about placeholders and security. For French users with the Standard AZERTY keyboard, KeePass detects conflicts involving the Ctrl+Alt+A auto-type shortcut, presents a warning, and offers a link for further information. Accessibility has also advanced, with the clipboard clearing countdown bar featuring a tooltip for remaining seconds and alert behavior for screen readers. Quality progress bars also gain focus support when optimized for screen readers.
On the data import front, KeePass now supports Mozilla Firefox 143+ password CSV files and enhances Bitwarden JSON import. It also handles Unix timestamps in milliseconds. A workaround addresses a focus bug after returning from a secure desktop. Installer changes include rebuilding ShInstUtil in Visual Studio 2022, ARM64 native image support, and improved start-up performance with MSI installations. Quick search usability sees improvements in keyboard navigation, while autocompletion has been disabled to avoid issues. Finally, configuration is now saved immediately when shutting down the system.
