Hyprland 0.52 brings auto submap closing, per device rotation, and new color mode options

Hyprland 0.52 has been released as the latest version of this open source Wayland compositor. This update introduces a breaking change: the setting misc:disable_hyprland_qtutils_check has been renamed to misc:disable_hyprland_guiutils_check due to qtutils being archived in favor of guiutils. Users who rely on earlier configurations will need to update their settings to match this change.

Alongside this, several workflow enhancements have arrived. Submaps can now be set to automatically close after a keybind is executed, streamlining complex keybind setups. A new dispatcher, forceidle, has been added to improve input management. The fullscreen command now features set, unset, and toggle actions to reduce inter-process communication queries, improving responsiveness.

Building on display support, new color management options — dcip3, dp3, and adobe — have been introduced. Device rotation can be assigned per input device for added flexibility, and the noscreenshare rule is now also usable as a layerrule, giving finer control over screen sharing behaviors.

Following these changes, users can access a new cursor:zoom_disable_aa option to choose between a pixelated or blurry look when zooming in on the cursor. Windowrules now support a modal property for more advanced window management. This release also delivers various smaller enhancements and bug fixes.

I'm not using Hyprland myself, so I don't really know.
