Google Calendar adds direct task blocking and syncing with reminders

Google Calendar users can now block time for specific tasks directly from the calendar by selecting an empty slot and clicking on task. The update allows customization of visibility and do not disturb settings for each task. Tasks added this way appear on the user's task list and trigger reminders until completion. This new feature is available to all Google Workspace and personal account users.
