Figma collaborates with ServiceNow's AI platform to turn designs into enterprise apps

Figma has announced a new collaboration with ServiceNow’s AI-powered workflow automation platform, allowing organizations to translate Figma designs directly into enterprise applications. This marks the first time developers can use a Figma design as a direct prompt for the ServiceNow build agent, which then automates the development of secure and scalable business software.

Building on this integration, teams gain the ability to move seamlessly from visual design to production-ready applications. The collaboration brings together Figma’s creative workflows with ServiceNow’s platform intelligence, helping to bridge the gap between concept and implementation. By leveraging the ServiceNow build agent, organizations can shorten application development cycles and transform visual concepts into working products within minutes.

Technically, the integration is enabled by Figma’s Model Context Protocol (MCP) server. This open standard allows the build agent to deeply interpret a design’s layout, styles, and components, ensuring high-fidelity app generation. Developers working in the ServiceNow integrated development environment (IDE) can prompt the build agent with a Figma design link, which is structurally parsed for accurate enterprise app creation.

Regarding security, the integration uses OAuth 2.0 authentication and secure, server-to-server communication, with tokens stored inside the customer’s ServiceNow instance. Generated applications inherit ServiceNow’s permissions, audit trails, and version control for governance and compliance.
