Cloudflare acquires Replicate to enhance Workers AI with 50,000+ models

Cloudflare is acquiring Replicate and integrating its full model library into Workers AI, expanding the catalog to more than fifty thousand containerized models. Both companies plan to bring the entire collection onto Cloudflare’s global network so developers can deploy any supported model worldwide.

Replicate’s existing APIs and workflows will stay active during the transition. Workers AI users will gain access to Replicate’s library, new fine tuning options, and support for running custom models once the integration is complete. Cloudflare expects improved performance and availability as Replicate begins operating on its infrastructure.

Replicate will remain an independent brand with Cloudflare’s support behind it. The acquisition brings Replicate’s experience in model hosting and developer tooling to Cloudflare and fits into its broader plan to strengthen Workers AI as a unified platform for next generation AI development, tying into Cloudflare’s recent move to block AI crawlers by default and give site owners more control over their content.
