Vivaldi 7.6 brings reader view, custom search engines, and link previews on iOS & Android
Three weeks after Vivaldi 7.6 was released for desktop users, it's now available for iOS and Android, bringing a set of focused improvements to its mobile web browsers. On iOS, users gain a new reader view that delivers clean pages and improved typography in one tap, providing a comfortable reading experience free from distractions. Custom search engines have arrived too, letting you add services with friendly names or short nicknames, and set any as your default for quicker searches.
Following the reader and search upgrades, tab management on iOS receives attention. The updated tab switcher introduces a pane for tab stacks, presenting each stack as a tidy card. Tapping a stack reveals all contained tabs at a glance and allows users to choose the one they need immediately. Additionally, iOS now offers link previews: long-pressing any link shows a live preview of the page, streamlining navigation.
Android users of the Vivaldi browser see an upgrade when bookmarking. If you save a bookmark, you can now create a new folder directly in the save dialog, placing bookmarks in the correct location from the start. Both iOS and Android versions also include behind-the-scenes improvements and bug fixes, which contribute to greater stability and responsiveness across devices.
