ONLYOFFICE Docs 9.1 brings PDF redaction & annotation tools, enhanced charts, and more

ONLYOFFICE Docs 9.1 introduces more than a dozen new features, significant performance improvements, and over 500 bug fixes to this widely-used office suite. The update expands capabilities for PDF handling, with the editor gaining a redact tool to hide sensitive content, additional annotation functions, and the ability to add charts and SmartArt graphics.

Alongside PDF improvements, the spreadsheet editor now allows for left-to-right and right-to-left text directions in cells, benefits from faster LOOKUP formulas, and receives other usability enhancements. Following these updates, collaboration has been strengthened by allowing users to customize how resolved and open comments appear in the left panel, streamlining team workflows.

For those working with visuals, diagrams can now incorporate external data sources, and diagram elements such as axis titles, data labels, and error bars can be enabled or disabled as needed. Building on charting improvements, the suite adds updated charts, more format options, section breaks, and a comprehensive chart editor available in Docs and Slides.

These core enhancements are complemented by updated translations, an upgraded admin dashboard for the server version, and additional refinements and fixes across the platform.

Didn't know this. I fact-checked it, and it's true. Thanks for mentioning it. Will have to reconsider what I recommend to people. Open Source or not, most people would be installing a binary, rather than building from source.
