ForkLift 4.4.3 adds macOS Tahoe sidebar style, AppMover feature removal, and bug fixes
BinaryNights has released version 4.4.3 of ForkLift, its dual pane file manager and file transfer client for macOS. In this update, the application introduces the new macOS Tahoe selection style for the sidebar, changing the text color of selected items. When a sidebar icon is tagged with a color or marked as a favorite with a custom color, the name of the favorite now highlights using the same color after selection.
Alongside visual updates, ForkLift 4.4.3 removes the AppMover feature. The development team explained that ForkLift cannot move itself out of the quarantine imposed by macOS when downloaded as a ZIP file. As a result, AppMover was not functional beyond internal tests and has now been discontinued.
Following the UI adjustments, this release also fixes several issues related to the transition to macOS Tahoe. Notably, the update addresses a tab-reordering bug in the interface and resolves column view issues, such as column widths not restoring correctly after restarting ForkLift and improper truncation of long file names when the “Resize columns to fit” option was active.
