Firefox 144.0 adds tab group upgrades, Google Lens search, and stronger encryption
Firefox 144.0 is now available with notable updates to tab groups, profiles, search, and security. Users can now drag tabs into collapsed groups, a long-requested feature that makes organization more flexible. The tab strip also shows only the active tab within a group, reducing clutter and improving focus.
A new profile system lets users create and switch between separate environments for work, school, or entertainment. Each profile has its own avatar, color theme, and isolated browsing data, including tabs, history, bookmarks, and extensions, providing a clearer separation between personal and professional use.
Firefox now includes Visual Search powered by Google Lens on desktop, allowing users to right-click any image to find similar products or extract text, provided Google Search is set as the default search engine. The update also adds Perplexity as an AI-driven search option, expands translation with Azerbaijani, Bangla, and Icelandic, improves window behavior on Windows, and upgrades password encryption to AES-256-CBC for stronger protection.

Comments
Firefox has been cooking recently. If they had listened to our feedback from the beginning, they would have a larger market share than they currently do. However, I am happy that they are fixing issues and adding features that we have requested for ages. I will consider donating in the near future.
Which improvments are you talking about exactly ?
