Evernote v11 debuts AI Assistant, Semantic Search, and smarter meeting notes

Evernote version 11 introduces major updates centered on AI featuring three new tools: the AI Assistant, Semantic Search, and AI meeting notes. Developed with OpenAI, the AI Assistant functions as an in-app conversational helper that can summarize text, extract action items, move notes, generate content, and browse the web without leaving Evernote.

Semantic Search allows users to find information using natural language instead of keywords, surfacing related content like “London Trip” or “Edinburgh Trip” when searching for “UK vacations.” The new AI meeting notes feature enhances Evernote’s transcription tools by automatically summarizing discussions and identifying speakers for both in-person and online meetings, integrating transcripts directly into notes, pretty similar to other AI meeting assistants like Granola or the recently added record mode in ChatGPT.

Version 11 also introduces a redesigned interface with cleaner layouts, modern typography, and improved navigation for faster access to notebooks and tasks. Over 200 product changes since early 2024 include refinements to syncing speed, note rendering, and offline stability, building on a more consistent and responsive experience across desktop and mobile.
