Sony drops the PSN requirement on Steam for four PC games and rewards players who opt in

Sony is removing the PlayStation Network (PSN) account requirement for four of its single-player PC games on Steam, including Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, The Last of Us Part II Remastered, God of War Ragnarök, and Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered.

Despite the removal of the PSN login mandate, Sony will still offer "in-game content unlocks" like outfits and resources as incentives for players to use a PSN account. Features such as trophies and friend management will remain exclusive to those who log in to PSN as well.

his decision comes months after Sony reversed the PSN login requirement for Helldivers 2 after backlash and review bombing on Steam. For more information on the in-game content unlocks available to PSN account holders, players are encouraged to check Sony’s official blog post.
