OpenAI partners with Axios to enhance local news coverage

OpenAI, company of ChatGPT, has partnered with Axios to expand its engagement with the news industry, supporting the ecosystem by aiding journalists with time-intensive tasks and enhancing ChatGPT's understanding of current events.

The partnership includes funding for Axios to establish tech-enabled newsrooms in four new cities, enhancing local news coverage in Pittsburgh, Kansas City, Boulder, and Huntsville.

This marks a significant step in OpenAI’s mission to bridge tech and journalism, now supporting nearly 20 media organizations and over 160 news outlets globally.
