OpenAI now allows you to schedule reminders and to-dos in ChatGPT with a new Tasks feature

OpenAI has launched a beta feature called Tasks in ChatGPT, enhancing its functionality by enabling users to set reminders and schedule actions. This feature, currently available to Plus, Team, and Pro subscribers, aims to make ChatGPT more akin to traditional digital assistants, allowing up to 10 active tasks simultaneously, but with the added advantage of its advanced language processing capabilities.

Users can schedule both one-time and recurring tasks by simply instructing ChatGPT on their needs. In addition to user-initiated tasks, ChatGPT can suggest tasks based on ongoing conversations, though these suggestions require user approval before being implemented. Task management is accessible on the web, allowing users to manage tasks within chat threads or through a dedicated Tasks section in the profile menu.

Notifications are sent across web, desktop, and mobile platforms upon task completion. The feature is limited to paid users for now, but a wider rollout to include every user with a ChatGPT account is anticipated after the beta phase.
