Immich 1.124 has been released with improved tagging, multi-select actions, and bug fixes

Immich has launched version 1.124 of its open source, self-hosted photo and video management platform. This update introduces the ability to create new tags directly from the “Tag assets” modal, enhancing organizational capabilities. Users can now perform common actions such as downloading, changing dates and locations, archiving, deleting, and refreshing thumbnails/videos/metadata when multi-selecting assets in the folder view.

Additionally, the official documentation has been updated for clarity, with the roadmap now indicating a shift of the stable release milestone to early 2025. A critical bug fix addresses a previous issue where the geodata import process could fail if the database container crashed during a specific window. Users affected by this may need to re-run metadata extraction to correct missing location data.

Version 1.124 also includes several other minor enhancements and bug fixes, further refining the platform's performance and usability.
