Opera makes its Aria AI assistant accessible without a sign-in requirement

Just a week after Opera announced that key features like "Explore more" and "Translate" could be used without an account, the company has now made its AI assistant Aria fully available without requiring users to sign in as well. This update is applicable to Opera One, Opera GX, and Opera for Android Beta.

To use Aria without signing in, users need to update their Opera browser to the latest version. Desktop users can update manually, while Android Beta users can do so via the Play Store. Accessing Aria involves starting a chat through the side panel or Command Line and accepting the terms of service. On Android, users tap the menu icon, navigate to Aria Browser AI, and accept the one-time terms of service.

Users who choose to use Aria without signing in will have full access to its features, though image generation is limited to five images. Signing into an Opera account increases this limit to 30 images per day and allows access to previous chat histories. The update is rolling out to all Opera desktop browsers on Windows and MacOS, as well as the beta version of Opera for Android.
