MPV 0.39 released with NVIDIA RTX and Intel VSR scaling, and multi-touch support

MPV, the popular free media player for the command line, has released version 0.39, bringing several enhancements and new capabilities. This update introduces support for NVIDIA RTX and Intel VSR scaling via the d3d11va filter and adds multi-touch support. Windows users will also benefit from integrated media controls.

A notable addition is the new select.lua script, which simplifies the selection of files from playlists, tracks, chapters, and output devices. Additionally, a native replacement for autoload.lua has been implemented, and track selection has been improved, particularly for multi-component languages like fr-CA. The stats.lua script has been expanded with a fifth page to display track information.

Compatibility with dmabuf-wayland has also been significantly enhanced. This release requires FFmpeg 6.1 or newer and libplacebo 6.338.2 or newer. MPV 0.39 also includes various other enhancements, improved commands, and bug fixes.
