macOS clipboard manager Maccy has released a major 2.0 update with a complete rewrite
Maccy, the lightweight and open-source clipboard manager for macOS, has launched version 2.0, marking a complete rewrite using modern Apple technology. This update requires macOS 14 Sonoma or newer. The user interface has transitioned from AppKit + NSMenu to SwiftUI + NSPanel, and the storage has been upgraded from Core Data to SwiftData.
Maccy 2.0 maintains backward compatibility with Maccy 1.x, allowing users to downgrade if needed, but it does not support versions prior to 1.0. New features include a setting to pop up at the last opened position, a search highlight mode with yellow coloring similar to Safari, and improved memory usage for large images. Additionally, the update addresses issues with Japanese, Chinese, and Korean language input, password fields, Spotlight, and full-screen mode.
Enhancements over Maccy 1.0 include a resizable window, a scrollable history list, and pinned items displayed without dots, sticking to the scrollable list. The update also brings appearance improvements and minor enhancements.

This is seriously one of the best 3rd party macOS apps out there. Insanely convenient and saved my butt several times.
