Elgato launches Wave Link 2.0 with enhanced audio routing, app grouping & sample recorder

Elgato has launched Wave Link 2.0, a major update to its audio mixing software. Key features include Simplified Audio Routing, which lets users assign specific applications like Discord to different audio channels with a simple checkbox, and App Grouping, which allows multiple applications to be organized into a single channel.

The update also introduces a Sample Recorder for Elgato audio devices, enabling real-time audio recording and effects application, and a Hardware Microphone Mute feature for easy muting. Custom Virtual Channel Naming and Virtual Channel Management are also included to streamline audio channel organization.

For Stream Deck users, the update offers one-click export of Wave Link configurations and Foreground App Routing to quickly assign the active application to a specific audio channel. Wave Link 2.0 also brings various bug fixes and performance enhancements, including UI updates and improved plugin handling. Currently available for Windows, a macOS version is expected in the future.
