DaVinci Resolve 19.0.1 gets improved timeline, smoother playback & better media management

The lastest 19.0.1 DaVinci Resolve update introduces key improvements, including enhanced timeline responsiveness, particularly when moving large numbers of clips, and smoother playback with a fixed playhead in the editing timeline. Media management sees improvements with more reliable and efficient transcoding for embedded AAF content.

The release resolves several bugs, including issues with matte nodes in duplicated timelines, unlinking of mattes during clip grading, and directional blur at 180º angles. Windows users benefit from improved audio device detection post-launch, while macOS users see fixes for license activation on macOS 15 beta and keyboard shortcut functionality.

Viewer annotation markers now accurately reflect selected colors, and Dolby audio bus-assign workflows engage the renderer more reliably. Script support enhancements allow querying of audio mapping for timeline clips and audio track formats, and issues with executing compiled Lua scripts on Windows have been addressed. General stability and performance improvements round out the update, ensuring a more robust and reliable software experience.
