RustDesk 1.3 brings multiple clipboard formats, enhanced security features, and more
RustDesk, a free and open-source alternative to remote desktop tools like TeamViewer and AnyDesk, has launched version 1.3, packed with new features and improvements. The update introduces support for multiple clipboard formats, including HTML and RTF, and allows clipboard keystrokes to be sent between devices. Users will find it easier to manage connections with clearer active tab highlights when connected to multiple peers.
Version 1.3 also includes MSI options for creating desktop and start menu shortcuts, a command-line option for adding clients to a shared address book with tags, and a universal APK along with ARM64, ARM32, and X86_64 packages. Enhanced security features include unlocking settings with a PIN, a Trust this device option for 2FA, and the ability to rename files and folders in the file transfer window. Numerous other changes, enhancements, and bug fixes are also part of this release.
