Game UI Database 2.0 launches with over 55,500 screens and enhanced tools for UI designers
Game UI Database has launched version 2.0 of its free UI reference tool for game interface designers, now featuring over 55,500 game UI screens and videos. The platform allows users to filter content by screen types, controls, textures, patterns, HUD elements, and colors.
Among the extensive list of changes, there is the Gallery Viewer, which has been rebuilt for better flexibility and new features, available only on desktop. The Inspector Tool also provides detailed information about each image, including visual properties, screen types, color hex codes, text, font sizes, and an exportable grid maker. Visualizers enable users to adjust image and video appearances with greyscale, inverted colors, and colorblind filters for Protanopia, Deuteranopia, and Tritanopia.
Game Pages now feature an overview of a game’s color scheme with a tagged palette bar, while the database includes around 1,700 videos across 160 games, showcasing screen flow, game states, gameplay mechanics, and visual effects. The new Animation Filter Menu and Video Tabs enhance this by allowing filtering of animations and transitions and viewing gameplay footage in isolation. Additionally, the mobile site has been redesigned for a better user experience. For a complete list of changes, see the official changelog document here.
