ClamAV 1.4 ends 32-bit Linux support, adds ARM64 for Windows, and enhances archive support
ClamAV, the widely-used open-source antivirus, has launched version 1.4. This update discontinues Linux 32-bit packages due to the end-of-life status of RHEL 7 and the transition to Alma Linux 8, which lacks 32-bit support. Users on 32-bit platforms can still compile from source.
Version 1.4 introduces ARM64 packages for Windows, though ARM64/aarch64 Linux packages are not included. New features include support for extracting ALZ and LHA/LZH archives and the option to disable image fuzzy hashing.
Additional improvements encompass cross-compiling instructions for ARM64/aarch64 processors for both Windows and Linux, enhanced Freshclam warning messages, and removal of redundant memory allocation checks. Documentation for Freshclam has been improved, and an optimization now avoids file hash calculations if the clean file cache is disabled. The SystemD service file for ClamOnAcc has been updated for faster shutdown on some systems. The CMake build process now includes dependencies on version map files and inherits RUSTFLAGS settings from the environment.
The next LTS release is expected later this year, following version 1.4, and the 0.103 LTS release will soon reach its end-of-life for security updates.

The funny thing is how I have it on my desktop, and only use it when I wanna mess around the terminal ← no other reason whatsoever. Oh yeah maybe checking external drives xD Seriously, unless you're a sys-admin or into web hosting no need to play around with it xD which is lovelu, don't get me wrong :P Gosh I probably need to educate myself on who knows how many options I am not uusing with ClamAV xD
