Tinder has launched AI Photo Selector feature to help users choosing their profile picture

Tinder has introduced an AI-powered tool named Photo Selector to make choosing profile pictures easier for its users. The tool leverages facial recognition technology to access users' device galleries or camera rolls and suggest potential images. Users can either take a new selfie or use an existing profile photo to help the AI generate suitable image suggestions. After the AI curates the options, users can manually select which photos to include on their profiles.

This new feature aims to significantly reduce the time users spend on selecting profile pictures, which Tinder reports to be about 33 minutes on average for individuals aged 18-24. A recent survey indicated that 85% of users find it difficult to pick a profile picture, and 68% believe an AI-assisted tool would be helpful.

Photo Selector is initially being rolled out in the United States and will expand globally throughout the summer. Tinder assures users that the AI tool respects privacy by not collecting or storing photos from their devices, except for the one chosen for posting.

Well if it wasn't for how bad selfies look and how so little photos I have of myself this wouldn't be so complicated to choose good pictures on a platform which requires good pictures. I hate Tinder
