Opera GX enhances Aria AI with image generation, voice output, and image understanding
Opera GX has rolled out a major update for Aria, Opera's AI chatbot assistant, incorporating new capabilities such as Image Generation, Voice Output, and Image Understanding. These enhancements aim to boost the chatbot's functionality, including conversation summarization and providing links to information sources.
The Image Generation feature allows users to create and modify images through text prompts, using Google’s Imagen2 model, with a daily limit of 30 images. Users can specify themes and refine images through a “regenerate” button, offering multiple versions for selection. Text-to-speech functionality has also been added, enabling Aria to read responses aloud for multitasking or accessibility, which can be particularly beneficial during gaming sessions.
Aria now has the ability to analyze and understand uploaded images, aiding in tasks like product identification, solving math problems, and addressing programming queries. Additionally, users can summarize entire chats for quick recaps and access links to external sources for further information.
