Microsoft Photos integrates AI-powered Designer for enhanced photo editing on Windows 11
Microsoft has announced a significant update to Microsoft Photos, enhancing its integration with Microsoft Designer. This update leverages AI to streamline photo editing directly within the Photos app.
Users can now click the “Edit with Designer” button to open their photo in Designer without leaving the Photos app. The AI capabilities in Designer intelligently detect objects in images, enabling users to easily erase objects, apply background blur for portrait photos, add creative effects like color pop, and enhance images with auto crop. New text and markup features are also available, along with traditional editing tools such as filters and adjustments.
This update is rolling out on Windows 11 across all insider channels, but is currently limited to users with their display language set to English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, or Portuguese (Brazil), and is available in most countries.
