Beehiiv launches a custom PWA feature for newsletters and new enhanced subscription tools

beehiiv has rolled out a new feature that enables newsletters on its platform to have a "custom mobile app," essentially a Progressive Web App (PWA) that can be installed directly from the newsletter's website through the "Add to home screen" option. This feature, available for both iOS and Android, ensures readers can stay updated with real-time push notifications for new posts and comment replies without the hassle of unwanted notifications.

To activate this feature, users need to navigate to Design → Website Builder → Settings → Mobile App in their beehiiv account. Upon activation, a prompt will appear on the first visit from a mobile device, and installation options will be accessible via the site's hamburger menu.

Additionally, beehiiv has enhanced its subscription management tools. Users can now access detailed payment histories, total revenue per subscriber, and logs of subscription events such as upgrades and downgrades. These improvements aim to provide content creators with deeper insights and greater control over their subscription-based businesses.
