Threads unveils new TweetDeck-style desktop experience for power users

Adam Mosseri, the head of Instagram, recently announced that Threads is rolling out a redesigned desktop site, offering customization options akin to TweetDeck (now X Pro). In a post on Threads, Mosseri stated, “We’re starting to roll out the new threads.net on desktop globally, so you can customize and personalize what you see. We have a lot of great ideas to make this the best website to share ideas, so stay tuned for more and let us know if you have any suggestions 🙏🏼”.

The new layout allows users to select which feeds they want to see by clicking the pin icon in the bottom-left corner of the site. Options include the Following feed, For You feed, saved posts, recent notifications, and more. This update positions Threads as a more serious rival to X for those seeking real-time news and information.

Have you used the new Threads desktop experience? What do you think? Don't hesitate to let us know in the comments.
