Bear 2.2.0: enhanced folding, copy code button, and four new themes
Bear has released version 2.2.0, introducing several improvements and new features. Key updates include enhanced folding functionality, a new Copy Code button, and four new themes.
For the improved folding feature, on Mac, folding chevrons now appear when hovering on the left side of the editor next to headings and multi-level lists, including todos. These chevrons remain hidden while typing. On iOS, the "Toggle Side Actions" option in the more menu enables folding chevrons alongside collapsible sections.
The new Copy Code action on Mac shows a Copy Code icon next to the first line of a code block when hovering the mouse on the left side. On iOS, this icon appears with other Side Actions after selecting "Toggle Side Actions" in the more menu. Additionally, Bear has introduced four new themes: Tokyo Night Light, Gruvbox, Catppuccin Latte, and Catppuccin Macchiato. The update also includes several bug fixes and improvements, such as resolving PDF export issues and improving DOCX exports and search widget sorting.
