Udio AI Music Generation platform introduces Audio Inpainting and new Subscription Tiers
The recently launched AI Music Generation platform, Udio, has now introduced a new feature called Audio Inpainting. This tool helps users edit and enhance their audio tracks by choosing sections to recreate based on the surrounding context. The feature can be used for tasks like editing single vocal lines, error correction, and smoothing transitions for seamless tracks. The company has stated that Audio Inpainting, currently only available to desktop users who subscribe to Udio's service, will receive regular updates shortly.
The platform has also rolled out subscription tiers to cater to various user requirements. The standard tier costs $10 and offers 1200 credits per month, allowing users to generate around 1200 30-second clips. The pro tier, aimed at users with higher demands, provides 4800 credits per month for $30 and offers a 20% discount for annual subscriptions.
All subscription tiers, including the free tier, provide access to priority generation queues, advanced creation features, and the ability to upload custom cover art and user avatars. The free tier offers users 100 monthly credits and daily top-ups of 10 credits, with an extra 400 credits given to existing users as a token of appreciation. Additionally, based on user feedback, Udio has included an option to adjust the size of the context window used in extensions, allowing users to control the amount of previous audio considered when generating the next clip.
