Opera's AI assistant, Aria, introduces text summarizing feature for Android users

Opera's AI assistant Aria now offers a text summarizing feature for Android users. The feature can condense a variety of web content, including news articles, blog posts, and research papers, into succinct summaries. It can be accessed on the Opera Android browser by selecting the "Summarize" option next to the Aria icon in the menu.

To use this feature, users must have the latest version of Opera for Android and an active Opera account. Aria, which was launched last year, functions as an AI search companion, responding to user queries in a chatbot-like interface, similar to Brave Leo or Arc Search for iOS.

Recent updates to Aria include the integration of Google's Google Imagen, enabling Aria to generate images, and a text-to-speech function. The summarizing feature is designed to enhance the browsing experience on Android devices by helping users quickly grasp the essence of a topic and identify key details.
