Little Snitch, a renowned firewall and network monitoring application for macOS, has recently launched its 6th version, marking over two decades of its development journey. The latest iteration, Little Snitch 6, offers an array of advanced features aimed at providing enhanced control over macOS network activity.

The new version carries forward the legacy of Little Snitch with significant improvements such as DNS encryption, easy access to blocklists, a revamped interactive traffic chart, and a multi-functional new Control Center located in the menu bar. Additionally, it introduces new hierarchical grouping options in the connection list and various sound notifications, all wrapped in a modernized user interface for comprehensive monitoring and robust protection.

Little Snitch 6 also brings an improved development experience by better handling processes in Xcode's Simulator app.

The software is currently available for $59 per single license, with existing users being able to upgrade at a discounted price starting from $39. Notably, licenses purchased post-January 1, 2024, are already valid for Little Snitch 6 without any additional charges. The application supports macOS 14 Sonoma and subsequent versions.
