Spline launches AI 3D Generation, a new tool for creating 3D objects from text and images
Spline, a web-based 3D design and collaboration tool, has unveiled a novel feature, AI 3D Generation, which enables users to generate 3D objects from text prompts and images. According to information on its dedicated page, the new tool brings the power of AI to the 3rd dimension.
The AI-driven tool allows the use of text prompts to create four variants and transform them into 3D models. Moreover, it enables the use of 2D front facing images as a basis to generate and seamlessly convert into 3D models. The tool also provides the capability to generate new variants by remixing and referencing previously generated results.
Incorporated directly into the Spline editor, the tool requires no modeling experience and can be used to build a unique library for 3D projects. The 3D models can then be exported for integration into websites and apps.
Spline AI 3D Generation is accessible through the Super and Super Team subscriptions. However, Spline has clarified that there will be associated costs for image previews and mesh generation when generating 3D assets with Spline AI.
