Raycast's latest update introduces AI chat presets for customizable chat templates
The application launcher and productivity tool Raycast has just released its latest update, version 1.72, introducing a new AI Chat Presets feature, which allows users to create and share customizable chat templates for its AI Chat interface, with predefined settings such as model, creativity, system instruction, and web search. It's worth noting that AI Chat is currently exclusively available only to Pro subscribers.
The AI Chat Presets feature simplifies the process of switching between different AI models for various use-cases. Users can start a new chat with a preset using the ⌘ ⇧ N shortcut or the dropdown in the toolbar. The feature also includes a "Search AI Chat Presets" command for editing presets. You can learn how it works in detail in this video. Pre-configured presets for activities like coding and writing can also be accessed at https://presets.ray.so/ or via the Raycast Explorer, and users can contribute their own presets for community use.
Version 1.72 also introduces other enhancements, including the automatic dismissal of the "See What’s New" notification after a day and an improved search for emojis and symbols. The update also includes several bug fixes to enhance shortcut detection, app activation reliability, and address issues with AI Commands and AI Chat functionalities.
