Screen recording software Kooha releases v2.3 with enhanced features and interface
Kooha, a Linux-based screen recording software, recently launched its 2.3 version, featuring a refined interface, enhanced area selection, and more detailed notifications, among other updates. The main screen has undergone a polish, now displaying the selected format and frames per second (FPS), allowing users to view current settings without accessing the settings window.
In addition, users are now provided with a progress display during the recording flush process, offering better insight into any unexpected delays in encoding or saving. The preferences window has also seen improvements, with more detailed descriptions and an easier FPS selection process via a dropdown menu.
The area selection window now offers resizable functionality, enabling users to better fit the window to their screen. It also retains the previously selected area across sessions, meaning the selected area is remembered even after closing and reopening the software. The new version also boasts improved focus handling, sizing fixes, heightened performance, and a fresh style.
Notifications upon completion of recordings now include the duration and size of the video, with notification actions remaining active even when the application is closed.
Kooha 2.3 inhibits logout and idle functions during recording, addresses long-term audio recording issues, and switches to stereo recording when possible. The new version also prevents deletion of recordings when flush is canceled, fixes incorrect output video orientation on certain compositors, and enhances overall performance and stability.
