Files app launches 3.3 version with New layout picker, improved thumbnail loading and more

The Files app has launched its 3.3 version, only a month after its last update. The new version brings a series of changes, including a redesigned layout picker, enhanced thumbnail loading, and improved DPI support for icons. The layout picker now features larger buttons arranged in a single row and a slider for adjusting item sizes in List, Grid, and Columns views. Thumbnail loading has been enhanced for smoother operation, with an added animation for longer loading periods.

The new version also brings changes to the settings page, which now has a dedicated section for layout options. Users can now resume their work after a Windows restart, a feature previously only available when the app closed before a system restart. The sidebar's "Favorites" section has been renamed "Pinned", and "Layout mode" has been simplified to "Layout".
