Desktop users with Spotify Premium subscriptions can finally use a miniplayer feature

Spotify has announced the introduction of a new feature for its desktop platform, the Spotify miniplayer. The miniplayer is designed to offer maximum control over music and podcast playback, while ensuring minimal disturbance to the user's workflow.

The miniplayer provides a balanced user experience, accommodating both video and music content. The feature floats above other applications, providing easy access to playback controls without causing distraction.

The miniplayer does not replace the main Spotify window. Users can switch between the miniplayer and the main window without interrupting their listening experience. The miniplayer allows users to shuffle their Spotify queue, repeat a song, or add or remove a song or episode from their library, all without opening the main app.

The miniplayer also boasts an adaptable design, capable of transforming into a square, rectangle, or a sleek bar. Users can adjust the size of the miniplayer based on their current task.

Currently, the miniplayer is only available to Spotify Premium users. It is located in the bottom right corner of the screen, between the volume and full screen buttons.

Neat. Unfortunately I don't see that option yet - it's likely in the process of being rolled out. I remember I had read about Google's VPN offering new region selection options, but it took another ~3 months after the article before I actually saw it.
