SparkyLinux 2024.02 comes with improved CLI installer, updated packages, and bug fixes
SparkyLinux, a Debian-based Linux distribution, has unveiled its second release of the year, version 2024.02, just a month after the 2024.01 version was launched. This update brings with it several fixes and new features, including a solution to the CLI Installer issue experienced when installing Sparky on Btrfs and XFS file systems, and package updates.
The latest SparkyLinux release is equipped with Linux Kernel 6.6.13, GRUB 2.12, PipeWire 1.0.3, and upgraded packages from Debian and Sparky testing repositories.

The CLI installer now includes an option to select an additional ~500 MB /boot partition that is automatically formatted to ext4, ensuring a smooth booting process for Sparky 7 and 8. The installer now also provides an option to forgo setting a root password, using the user password as the default.
The release also brings improvements to the Sparky Backup tool, along with other minor enhancements and bug fixes.
