Netflix will no longer let existing subscribers to pay through Apple's App Store

Netflix has officially announced that it will no longer accept payments from longstanding subscribers through their Apple billing plans. Moving forward, customers will be required to make payments directly to Netflix using a credit or debit card. This change was confirmed in Netflix's Help Center, which stated, “Netflix billing through Apple is no longer available for new or rejoining members.”

Previously, subscribers who had initially signed up for Netflix via Apple were able to maintain this payment method. However, Netflix has started to inform customers in certain territories that they will need to update their payment method to keep their subscriptions active. Although Netflix has not specified which countries this change will affect, it has updated its United States support website with this information.

Subscribers who have used Apple as their payment method for years should be vigilant. Netflix may soon contact you via email to inform you that your payment method needs to be updated if you wish to continue using the service.
