Immutable Linux distribution Nitrux 3.3.0 "ab" has been released with many improvements
The immutable Linux distribution, Nitrux, has launched its 3.3.0 “ab” version, barely a month after its 3.2 version. This Debian and KDE Plasma-based distribution presents a combination of the latest software updates, bug fixes, performance enhancements, and extensive hardware support.
Nitrux 3.3 is built on the Linux Kernel 6.7.3 and includes numerous software such as Firefox 122, OpenRC 0.53, Mesa 23.3.4, AMD Open Source Driver for Vulkan 2024.Q1.1, PipeWire 1.0.1, Wireplumber 0.4.17, Plymouth 22.02.122, NVIDIA Linux x64 Display Driver 550.40.07, Intel SOF firmware 2023.12, among others.
The distribution also introduces an upgraded Update Tool System (version 2.1.2) featuring several changes and enhancements. The new Kernel Boot version 0.0.9 is also included, offering an improved warning display for users utilizing Kernel Boot with NVIDIA hardware.
Nitrux 3.3 has updated the linux-firmware package to include newer files from the Linux firmware repository. Additionally, kdotool, a clone of “xdotool for KDE Wayland”, has been integrated into the distribution.
