GitHub Copilot Enterprise is generally available at $39 per user per month

GitHub has announced the general availability of GitHub Copilot Enterprise, a tool designed to put the “institutional knowledge of your organization at your developers fingertips”. With this service, team members can query both public and private code, familiarize themselves rapidly with new codebases, enhance consistency across engineering teams, and ensure equal access to past work and standards.

GitHub Copilot Enterprise aims to facilitate a more profound understanding of an organization’s unique codebase, swift access to organizational knowledge and best practices, and expedite the review of pull requests.

The company is also incorporating Bing search directly into Copilot Chat, currently in beta for GitHub Copilot Enterprise. This integration enables users to discover the latest information related to software development, such as updates to CSS or JavaScript frameworks.

GitHub emphasizes that it does not use any data from your organization’s private repositories or prompts and suggestions to train its machine learning models, unless explicitly instructed to do so.

Starting today, GitHub Copilot Enterprise is available at a rate of $39 per user per month.
