Opera releases massive update to gaming browser Opera GX with more customization options
Opera has rolled out a significant update for Opera GX, its web browser tailored for gamers, introducing extensive customization capabilities. The update features the new "Underwave" design language, characterized by sleek radial gradients, transparent elements, and minimalistic borders. Users can now personalize the browser's interface, including light and dark themes, sounds, and background music, with options to adjust opacity, blur, and add shadow effects.
The update also enhances modding features, allowing users to modify splash screens, fonts, sidebar, desktop icons, and screenshot stickers. Mods can be saved as presets for easy switching between setups. Beyond aesthetics, the update improves performance with a Multithreaded Compositor UI engine, ensuring a faster and smoother experience even with extensive customizations.
