This update allows the app to access and read content from specific on-screen applications, starting with developer tools like Visual Studio Code, Terminal, iTerm2, and Xcode. A demonstration showed ChatGPT's ability to interpret code from Xcode projects and provide real-time suggestions without needing manual code input.

While OpenAI plans to expand this feature to more applications, no specific timeline has been provided. Currently, the integration is exclusive to the macOS version and requires a ChatGPT Plus or Team subscription. Enterprise and Education users will gain access soon, with plans to eventually make it available to all users.
