Nintendo launches Nintendo Music for streaming iconic game soundtracks on iOS and Android

Nintendo has launched a new app for iOS and Android, called Nintendo Music, enabling users to listen to soundtracks from a selection of popular Nintendo video games. The app features music from titles such as Pikmin 4, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, Splatoon 3, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Kirby Star Allies, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Metroid Prime, Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade, and Donkey Kong Country. However, not all tracks from these games are available in the application.

Nintendo Music includes features like extended playback, allowing users to lengthen certain tracks to 15, 30, or 60 minutes for uninterrupted listening. Additional functionalities include offline playback, background playback, playlist creation, personalized recommendations, and the option to hide soundtracks to avoid potential spoilers.

Users will need a Nintendo Switch online membership and a Nintendo account to access the app. This new application provides a platform for Nintendo to potentially expand its music offerings, drawing from its extensive soundtrack library.
