Linkwarden 2.8 brings new features and improvements for enhanced bookmark management

Linkwarden, the open-source collaborative bookmark manager, has released version 2.8, introducing a range of enhancements and new features. Users can now set specific preview images for links, offering more visual distinction and personalization. Phosphor Icons integration allows for unique icon assignments to both links and collections, providing thousands of combinations.

A new drawer feature provides a comprehensive view of link details, preserved formats, and additional information. Users have greater customization options in the dashboard, including adjusting the number of columns. Browser bookmarks can now be synced with Linkwarden using Floccus, and all links within a collection can be opened in new tabs.

Cloud subscribers benefit from the ability to add more seats and invite non-Linkwarden users directly from the billing page. Direct editing of link addresses without creating new entries is now possible. Language support has been expanded to include Chinese, Dutch, German, Japanese, Portuguese, Spanish, Turkish, and Ukrainian, broadening accessibility. Additionally, the Docker image size has been reduced by about 50%, improving storage efficiency and deployment speed.
